  • Is Corian® Solid Surface head resistant?

To protect your Corian® Solid Surface from heat damage, always use a hot pad or a trivet with rubber feet when using hot pots, or heat-generating appliances like electric skillets or electric cooking pots.

Corian® Solid Surface is easy to clean. Soapy water or an ammonia-based cleaner is all that is necessary for day-to-day care of your Corian® Solid Surface. Corian® Quartz Surfaces are very easy to maintain because they are durable, nonporous and chemical-resistant. • How well does Corian® Quartz withstand heat, scratches and stains?

Corian® Quartz is resistant to heat, scratching and staining. However, the use of trivets or hot pads is recommended. A cutting board should be used when slicing or chopping, especially with a serrated knife. Spills should be wiped up quickly; a nonabrasive cleaning pad and a non-bleach cleaning product may be used to remove stubborn or dried spills.

  • Can Corian® Quartz and Corian® Solid Surface be used together?

Yes. A Corian® Solid Surface sink can be installed in a Corian® Quartz countertop, for example. Each material can be inlaid into the other, either along the edges or on the surfaces, for a dramatic design statement. Just as both Corian® Quartz and Corian® Solid Surface may be combined with other materials – such as chrome, stainless steel, glass or brass-they can also be combined with each other.
