Willis’ Commitment

At Willis, we work closely within our supply chain, ensuring all our partners adhere to ethical labor practices. Beyond our ethical labor commitments, Willis actively supports local charities, reflecting our dedication to community development.

At Willis, we believe that responsible business practices positively impact society and the environment.

At Willis, we wholeheartedly support the Forced and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act in Canada. This legislation represents a critical step forward in combating the scourge of forced labor and child labor within supply chains, aligning with our core values of ethical business practices and human rights advocacy.

We recognize that forced labor and child labor are serious human rights violations that have no place in modern society. They not only exploit vulnerable individuals but also undermine the integrity of global supply chains. By endorsing this act, we affirm our commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of every worker involved in our operations and supply chain.

This legislation underscores the importance of due diligence and transparency in addressing forced labor and child labor risks. As such, we are dedicated to implementing robust systems and processes to identify, prevent, and mitigate these risks throughout our supply chain. We will work closely with our suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with the act and promote responsible labor practices.

Moreover, we believe that businesses have a crucial role to play in driving positive change and advancing human rights. By supporting the Forced and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act, we demonstrate our commitment to being part of the solution and contributing to a more just and equitable world.

At Willis, we view the enactment of this legislation as a significant milestone in the global fight against forced labor and child labor. We will continue to advocate for stronger measures and collaborate with stakeholders to eradicate these egregious practices from supply chains worldwide. Together, we can build a future where every worker is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.

The Pinball Clemons Foundation provides marginalized and racialized youth with educational resources and options to integrate into the mainstream of society. The ultimate goal is to see youth successfully entering the workforce, and gainfully employed in careers they desire. With the implementation of a customized mentorship program and financial support, we are removing the barriers that often hinder success.

Mentorship Fund

The Pinball Clemons Foundation works with Community Partners to identify the most marginalized youth in our communities and provide mentorship and exclusive opportunities as they pursue their post-secondary education.

Education Fund

We want to improve literacy in communities where families face multiple barriers. The Foundation is working to change the narrative of marginalized and racialized youth by allowing them to focus on their academics and successfully transition into their careers without the burden of student debt.

Youth Development Fund

We recognize that supporting youth at an early age is important for their development, and youth are less likely to need interventional support as they grow. We have partnered with several organizations with deep ties to community to help grow strong future leaders as they transition from high school to career.

Forests play a vital role in our environment, communities, and economy.  Responsible forest management balances each of these interests to achieve outcomes that benefit us all.  That’s why the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is governed by a global network of over 1,000 individuals and member organizations representing environmental, social, and economic perspectives. Our democratic and participative system brings these diverse perspectives together to find solutions that safeguard healthy, resilient forests worldwide.

The FSC label is the world’s most trusted mark for sustainable forestry. When you purchase FSC-labelled products, you’re helping forests, and the people that rely on them, thrive by supporting:

Zero deforestation

Trees are harvested responsibly so there is no net loss of forest over time. Forests with irreplaceable values, such as old-growth forests, are identified and maintained. Reversing deforestation and maintaining irreplaceable forests are crucial to fighting climate change.

Fair wage and work environment

All workers are provided with proper training, adequate safety protocols, and fair wages.
